Linda's obituary
Linda Harris Loudon went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 14th, 2024. She was surrounded by her family and love and light until the very end.
Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend.
Linda was born in Henderson, Texas, but spent much of her life in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Farmington, New Mexico, and then went on to spend her retirement years in the Austin, Texas area.
Linda graduated summa cum laude from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans in 1993 and went on to become a revered school teacher until she retired in 2009. She taught third grade at Martin Behrman Elementary in New Orleans, and fifth and sixth grade, and science at Bluffview Elementary in Farmington, New Mexico. She touched the lives of countless students.
Linda was a gifted musician and pianist. She served as a pianist and singer for multiple churches through the years. She was also a skilled chef and gardener, and a faithful Methodist.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Mildred Harris, and is survived by her daughter April Betancourt, (husband Jeremy Betancourt), daughter Cheryl Loudon, and grandchildren Presley, Memphis, William, Samuel, and Holly.
Linda was a joyous and vibrant woman. She will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever honored by those lucky enough to have known her.
