Linda Lee Lines of Glen Rose, Texas passed into the presence of Jesus on January 13th, 2023. She was born in 1945 to Fred and Maudie Nickols in Dallas.

Linda was a resident of Fannin County for 38 years, and also lived in Bartlesville Oklahoma. She had 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She had two brothers, Leonard Nickols (deceased), and Fred Nickols, and two sisters, Doris McKinney (deceased) and Barbara Little. She was married to her husband, David Lines, for 44 years.

Linda was a lifelong learner and teacher. She worked with computers long before they invaded homes. She earned a Masters of Education and in December was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree. Her employment included supervising the microcomputer lab at Austin College in Sherman Texas in the days before laptops, 14 years as principal of Alpha-Omega Christian School of Leonard, and part time work at Voice of the Martyrs in Bartlesville Oklahoma. She was a member of the American Chemical Society and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.

Linda used her teaching and other talents in a wide range of volunteer work for the Creation Evidence Museum of Texas in Glen Rose, Voice of the Martyrs and First Wesleyan Church in Bartlesville, She also served as a Red Cross volunteer, and worked at the Bonham refugee shelter for people displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

A celebration of Linda’s earthly and eternal life will be held at 3:30pm on April 16th at the Creation Evidence Museum, 3102 FM205. Donations in lieu of flowers are requested to the Creation Evidence Museum of Texas and Voice of the Martyrs in Bartlesville Oklahoma.
