Linda's obituary

January 16, 1948 – August 21, 2025

Linda Lee Yardley, 77, of Eudora, Kansas, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025. She was born on January 16, 1948, in Houston, Texas, to Calvin and Betty Swindell. She grew up alongside her two sisters, Carol and Betty.

Linda was married to her beloved husband, Roger Yardley, for 35 wonderful years. Together they shared countless memories, from enjoying trips to the casino, to dancing, browsing garage sales, cherishing time with family, and celebrating her favorite holiday—Christmas. Their love was steadfast, and even in passing, they remain together again.

She was a devoted mother to her four children: Shawna Kirk, Ronald Armes, Dennis (Darla) Sebol, and Duane (Christina) Sebol. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her 10 grandchildren: Joshua Kirk, Tyler Sebol, Paige Armes, Asura Degraffenreid, Lacey Armes, Lexus Kirk, Alyssa Sebol, Montana Bell, Dylan Sebol, and Trevor Sebol. Linda also treasured her role as “GG” to five great-grandchildren: Kyden, Allyson, Draven, Stella, and Julius.

Throughout her career, Linda worked at King Radio and later at Honeywell, where she dedicated many years before retiring. She later worked at Wendy’s, a job she truly enjoyed for its connection with people.

Linda will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, neighbor, and friend. Her kindness, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Betty; her sister, Carol; and her husband, Roger, who passed just four months before her. Their enduring love ensures they are “together ‘til the end, and together again.”

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 1:00–4:00 PM at the Eudora Parks and Recreation Department, 1630 Elm St, Eudora, KS 66025. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the life of a woman who gave so much love to all around her.
