Linda Lee Lawrence

May 31, 1949 – July 11, 2025

Linda Lee Lawrence passed away peacefully at home on July 11, 2025, at the age of 76. She was born on May 31, 1949, in Sacramento, California.

Linda retired from the State Personnel Board after 31 years of dedicated service. She loved her husband Larry, her family, her friends, CoCo, Bailey and Jamoca Almond Fudge ice cream. Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Larry, her twin sister Lydia Louise “Weezie” Fernandes, her mother Eleanor Fernandes, and her faithful dachshund, CoCo.

Linda is survived by her daughter Shelley Messer and son Philip Stephens; Her bonus children Kimmy Merrick, Bobby Lawrence (Leona), and Cathy Rice (Stan).

Her grandchildren Mercedes Messer, Wally Messer, and Nathaniel Stephens, She also leaves behind her cherished bonus grandchildren; and her great-grandchildren Gracie Messer, Elijah Shepard, and Clayton Shepard.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Herberger Elk Grove Family Funeral Chapel. A reception will follow at 4:15 PM at Happy Garden.
