Background
Linda and her late husband Larry had a soft spot for the black bear. Bobby, Larry's son, would send videos of his furry neighbors from his house in Tahoe. Thus, began the fascination with these gentle, smart, and resourceful creatures. Linda and Larry began to donate to the Bear League after learning what can happen to these bears when their resourcefulness gets them into trouble, aka home break-ins. The Bear League's guiding principle, is “People Living in Harmony with Bears.” The Bear League believes this can be achieved by educating the public to the true gently nature of the black bear, which Linda and Larry had seen all along.
