Linda's obituary

Linda Diane Ladzinski (née Hintz), age 59, passed away on August 21, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska. Born on May 10, 1966, in Omaha, Linda lived a life marked by compassion, adventure, and an unwavering dedication to others.

Linda pursued her calling in healthcare with great passion. After earning her nursing degree from Johnson County Community College in Kansas, she devoted 15 years of her career as a Registered Nurse at North Kansas City Hospital. There, she worked on the Oncology unit, providing care and comfort to cancer patients with empathy and professionalism. Her commitment to nursing was evident in every shift she worked—her patients and colleagues alike recognized her for the heartfelt care she gave.

Beyond her professional life, Linda was known for her vibrant spirit and zest for life. A true free spirit, she embraced every opportunity for adventure—whether it was exploring a new city, embarking on an outdoor excursion, or enjoying a relaxing vacation. Even when staying close to home in Gretna, Nebraska, Linda found joy in the everyday moments and sought out the beauty in life’s simple pleasures.

Her infectious laugh and magnetic personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Linda had a deep love for both people and animals and was always ready to lend a helping hand—or paw—to those in need. Her generosity of spirit extended far beyond her profession; it was woven into the fabric of who she was.

Linda grew up in Gretna, Nebraska attending Gretna public schools and graduated high school in 1984. She was also a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gretna, Nebraska. Linda was involved in many extracurricular activities throughout her youth, including band, cheerleading, and track.

She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Marilyn Hintz; siblings, Marlene Nolting and Tom Hintz; daughters, Alyssa Tanuis and Steffi Ladzinski; and grandson, Maddox Tanuis. She is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Hintz; and her brother, Rodney Hintz. Her family will carry forward the warmth of her memory and the lessons of kindness and courage that she embodied.

May Linda’s memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire acts of compassion and joy. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 29, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM, at St. Patrick Catholic Church 508 W. Angus Road. Gretna, NE. 68028
