Linda Gail Jay, 73, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away October 12, 2024. She will be remembered as a loving Mom, Maw Maw and friend.  Linda’s journey touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of strength and resilience. She will truly be missed by so many.

Linda Gail Jay was born in Charlotte, NC in 1951 and graduated from Harding High School in 1969. After graduation, she married, started a family and was Co-Owner of Helms Auto Supply.

Linda was proceeded in death by her parents James Harold Jay Sr and Juanita T Jay, both of Charlotte, NC.

She is survived by her three daughters and two brothers. Shelley Dorton (O’Hara) and granddaughters, Lindsay (Chris) and Leslie Dorton (Colby); Crystal Case (Chuck) and granddaughters Courtney (Josh) and Jessica (Chris); Ashley Helms (Chrystie) and grandsons, Austin Bishop (Summer), Jason Bishop Jr. and granddaughter, Kristin Bishop. Brothers: James Harold Jay Jr and William Mark Jay. As well as 4 great grandchildren to whom she loved so much.

May her memory continue to bring comfort to those who mourn her passing. Her family will forever honor and celebrate her life.
