It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Jane Pearson (Hurst), who left us on April 10, 2023. Born on December 12, 1950, to the late Lois Marion (Ritchie) and Horace Carter Hurst, Jr, Linda led a remarkable life filled with love, strength, compassion and resilience. Linda's kind-hearted nature and unwavering support for her family will always be remembered.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, James Pearson, who was by her side for nearly 30 years and cared for her throughout her final days at home. Jim filled her life with laughter, love and support: for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health...  Linda is also survived by her beloved children, Ellen Muth and David Himelright. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Elise and Cecilia Muth, who will forever cherish their time spent with her. Brothers-in-law, Mark Pearson and Randy Pearson, sister-in-law, Jill Hicks, son-in-law, Tom Muth, nephew Ramsey Hussain, niece May Coleman, all their extended families and many others, cousins, and friends also hold dear the memories they shared with Linda.

In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her ex-husband, Charles Himelright, her sister, Kathryn Hussain (Hurst), her father-in-law, Marvin Pearson, her mother-in-law, Colleen "Keke" Pearson, and her brother-in-law, Nemah Hussain.

Following her immediate family's private memorial, a wake and celebration of life will be held at a later date, allowing friends and family to come together to honor the beautiful life of Linda Pearson. In lieu of flowers, please consider a charitable donation in Linda's name, to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), or Ele's Place.
