Linda's obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Hubrecht, who departed this world on March 13, 2025. Born in 1945, Linda spent 80 vibrant years enriching the lives of those around her and creating memories that would be cherished by her loved ones.
Survived by her children, Tracy Cowherd, and Samuel S. Hall, Linda was a devoted mother whose legacy continues through the lives and achievements of her children. Her greatest accomplishment, she often mused, was the compassionate, resolute individuals her children had grown to become.
Linda was known for her love of Potato Soup, a dish she often shared with her family during special occasions. A fan of television, she took delight in shows like Family Feud, NCIS, and CSI. Among her favorite pastimes was a round of Gin Rummy, a game she played with an unerring blend of strategy and luck.
A spirited and direct individual, Linda's wit was as vibrant as her personality. Thrift store shopping and yard saling were among her favorite recreational activities, as she had a keen eye for the unique and valuable. Her favorite vacation spot was the Bahamas, a place that perfectly reflected her preference for black and white - the colors of elegance and simplicity.
Throughout her life, Linda insisted on the importance of speaking up for oneself, a lesson she proudly fostered in her children. Her spicy, direct, and witty nature served as a model of courage and assertiveness for those who knew her.
In her passing, Linda leaves behind an indelible legacy of love and strength. Her memory will be treasured by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. While she will be profoundly missed, her lessons and love will continue to inspire those left behind. Linda's final moments were spent in the company of her loved ones, reflecting her lifelong devotion to family and the unstinting love she held for them.
