Linda's obituary

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Linda Gaillard. Linda was born on February 20, 1951 and her life gracefully concluded on September 7, 2024.

Linda was a devoted mother, a cherished sister, loving grandmother, amazing Aunt, Cousin and Friend. Her warm, loving, fun personality and heart of gold endeared her to everyone she met. Her family, undoubtedly the greatest joy of her life, survives her. She leaves behind her daughter, Michele Nesic, son, Joseph Gaillard, and her precious grandchildren, Kristian and Kameron Nesic. Linda's surviving siblings include her brothers, Michael and Robert Bigwood, and sister, Lori Faunt.

She was predeceased by her brother, Francis Bigwood Jr., her father, Francis Bigwood Sr., her mother, Carol Bigwood, and her sister-in-law, Patricia Bigwood. Her memory will forever burn brightly in the hearts of those she left behind.

Linda lived a fulfilling life filled with love and laughter. On December 27, 1976, and again on November 18, 1983, she welcomed her beloved children into the world. In 2019, she relocated to South Florida to be with her children and grandchildren and where she enjoyed the warmer climate and scenic views of the Sunshine State.

A woman of exceptional taste, Linda had a strong affinity for Penne alla Vodka and Sweet Tea.  She loved family card nights, dancing and she played a mean set of spoons! She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and was thankful her daughter turned her hobby into a business which she loved sharing with Michele.  She loved playing slots at the casino and she knew how to enjoy life. Linda loved spending time with her family, trips back to NJ and watching her favorite TV shows, True Crime and Court TV.

Linda's legacy extends beyond her individual accomplishments to the values she instilled in her children and grandchildren. Her greatest accomplishment, she often said, was her family.  Linda spent the last 5 years with her children and grandchildren in Florida and the quality time she spent was truly a gift and a blessing.  Her love, her warmth, her laughter, and heart of Gold will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Linda's memory to charities and causes that support families, an issue close to her heart.
