Linda's obituary
Linda Foley, a shining symbol of vivacity and wit, passed away on March 25, 2025. Born on December 6, 1954, Linda's zest for life touched all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe Foley, as well as her father, Ronald Marotta, and mother, Marie Seria.
Linda carried a deep affection for the most beautiful aspects of life. A devotee of classic everything, her favorites ranged from music to television to cinema. Franck Sinatra's notes never failed to bring a smile to her face and she enjoyed countless hours of classic TV shows. Her love for the golden era of cinema ran deep, with a special place in her heart reserved for classic movies.
A recurring highlight in her life was the sublime performance of the Phantom of the Opera, a spectacle she never tired of. Often, she could be found, comfortably settled with her beloved cat Beau, revisiting the classics from her impressive collection or watching them on television. Beau also helped her keep active, their playful interactions becoming her preferred form of exercise.
Linda held in her heart a special fondness for Cussina Restaurant in Nutley which became the birthplace of many of her favorite dishes. Her love for good food was only rivaled by the fondness she had for the Shore House, her favorite vacation spot, which provided her with endless hours of peace and happiness.
Described best as both 'bubbly' and 'witty', Linda always had a sharp, humorous retort at the ready. Her laughter was infectious, her spirit indomitable. Her love for her cat Beau was unmatched, a hallmark of her compassionate nature.
Linda's loss is deeply felt, leaving a void that cannot be filled. Even so, her vivacious spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. To Linda, to her laughter, and the countless moments we shared- we bid a heartfelt farewell. Linda, you will be sorely missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
