Linda Echols, who was born on March 12, 1952 and passed away on April 19, 2023. Linda was a loving, witty, intelligent, and commanding person who touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Tyson; son, Christopher Echols; grandson, Warren "Sonny" Tyson Jr; nieces, Dana L. Peter and Dawn J. Peter and great nephew, Walter B. Peter.

 Her greatest accomplishments include marrying her best friend, David L. Echols Jr., and having two children, Elizabeth Y. Tyson and Christopher G. Echols. Linda obtained a Doctorate of Education from Loyola University in 1999, and was always eager to return to the community she grew up in and the school she attended to encourage, empower and inspire anyone she could. Her legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of those they have left behind.

A Celebration of Life for Linda will be held on June 17, 2023, at 12:00 PM at James Madison School. Friends and family are invited to attend and share their memories of Linda's wonderful and impactful life. Linda's life was marked by her dedication to others and their ability to make people laugh. The best lesson she had to share was always making sure to help others when you have the opportunity to do so. Linda's sense of humor, intelligence, and heart for service will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
