Linda Joyce Dodd, age 83, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, April 17, 2026 at her residence.

Mrs. Dodd was born September 19, 1942 in Cass, Texas. She was retired from retail sales and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Wake Village.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Porterfield and by one grandson, Layne Woods.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Dodd of Texarkana, Texas; four daughters and sons-in-law, Rene and Steve King of Columbia, South Carolina, Lanette and David Brosin of Little Elm, Texas, Leigh Ann and Paul Pippen of Maud, Texas and Allison and Jeff Woods of DeQueen, Arkansas; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Angela Dodd of Nashville, Arkansas; one special daughter, Susan Quinn (David) of Texarkana, Texas; seven grandchildren, Allyson Moffat (Dave), Ben King (Danielle), Blake Brosin (Daniellee), Austin Brosin (Lauren), Gage Woods, Peyton Dodd, Riley Dodd; six great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Neathery officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 prior to the service.
