Linda's obituary
A much-loved Mother, grandmother, great grandma, Wife, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and so much more passed peacefully in the comfort of her family's home In Rocklin, Ca. May 30, 2019, as her 17year battle with cancer ended. Born January 17, 1955, in Brawley, Ca. To Virginia Hogue of Indiana who was of European and Cherokee lineage. And Irenio Lachica a farm worker from the Philipine Islands. Linda was the 5th of 8 children. Linda was steady, her feet firmly planted on the ground as she found herself the confidant of her large family. Everyone loved and looked to Linda in their deepest hours. Linda spent most of her life committed to caring for her family, as they were of utmost importance to her. She loved her children and took a special and in-depth interest in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. An unbreakable bond if ever there was one!
Linda was a woman of great faith. And when she lost her 10-year-old daughter Jennifer to congestive heart failure in the 80’s she did not break as most would. She instead leaned deeper on the word as her faith was strong. And she spent many dedicated hours in prayer and studying the word. Linda was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. And will be deeply missed.
Linda is survived by her Daughters Lisa Quilon of Rocklin, Ca. Jonnie Rodriquez of Oakland, Ca. Lesley Dickens of Marina, Ca. Her Husband Alfred Dickens of Salinas, CA. Her Sisters Angie Oliva of Mapleton, Or & Sharon Adler of San Francisco, Ca. Her brother Tim Lachica of Oklahoma City, Ok. four Grandchildren, Five great Grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and In-laws.
