Linda's obituary

If you happened to be out and about and saw someone dancing, that may have been Linda Lee Dammerich. Or, if you were lucky enough, you would have been able to appreciate one of her many works of art including the paintings that she completed after discovering this talent later in life. Perhaps you enjoyed looking at one of the pieces of furniture she crafted, both on her own and with the help of friends. Maybe you were fortunate enough to take walks with her, help her to make soap for the farmer’s market, attend yoga classes or help her with her ever-growing garden. Ballroom dancing? She enjoyed that too. If you just happened to pass Linda in the street, there is no doubt she would flash a smile, and possibly turn you into an instant friend. If so, you were very lucky indeed. Beyond compare, out of all of the things important to her, her children and grandchildren remained her greatest joy and sense of pride.

Linda left this earth on Saturday, April 24th, 2021, at the age of 77, as the result of a valiant fight against Covid 19. She was born in Elgin, Illinois to Elena and Hubert Weber on April 20, 1944. The majority of her life was spent as a resident of Appleton WI. She graduated from Xavier High School and later attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She had many places of employment throughout the years and was the owner of Thymes Past Herbal Soaps.
Linda was united in marriage to Jim Schreiter and they had four children together. She was later united in marriage to Bill Dammerich.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Elena and Hubert Weber.
Linda is survived by her son Gregg (Wendi) Schreiter and their two children Trenton and Kennedy, daughter Jennifer Schreiter Pethan (Richard) and their children Eden and Gavin, daughter Tammy Schreiter (special friend Michael Gustavson), son Patrick Schreiter and his two children Neceda and Seneca. Linda is further survived by her brothers David (Janice) Weber, Bill(June) Weber and sister Jeanne (Jeff) Josephs as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Many, many friends were also very special to Linda and brought her joy.
A memorial service will be held at Appleton Highland Memorial Park Chapel, 3131 North Richmond Street, on Friday, April 30, 2021- friends may call beginning at 1pm and a prayer service will be held at 2pm. A Celebration of Life will also be held in June with details forthcoming.

(Please be aware that Covid 19 restrictions are in place and a properly worn mask is required and can be provided for you.)
