On Friday Dec. 11th at 8pm my sister Amy Hale was notified by my mother's friend that she had not been able to contact my mother since the morning of the 10th. She had made several phone calls and also been to her house several times and received no response. My sister who is a nurse was on the way home from work when she received the call. She then started trying to call our mother and also received no response. She headed straight to her house and after 3 attempts and different entrances was finally able to get in the house. She immediately found our mother deceased. She had fallen and hit her head on the nightstand beside her bed. She suffered from osteoporosis and was on medicine for that but she was able and determined to still live alone. She has never had any falls or accidents. It has been determined that when she hit her head she busted her head open and bleed out. This was very unexpected and she had no life insurance or funeral insurance. She was on disability only which was very limited of course. It has fallen on my sister and I to pay for her funeral. She wanted to be cremated but we are also trying to set up a small visitation. My hours have been cut at work due to the pandemic and also my sister is the main provider for her family of 4 due to her husband having a limited income during the pandemic. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is a very hard time for us both emotionally and financially. Thank you. Contribute
