Linda's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Linda Cole, who passed away on May 6, 2020. Born on December 1, 1952, Linda's life was marked by profound kindness, an unwavering dedication to her family, and an immense contribution to education. She was a ray of sunshine, a beacon of hope, and a true flower child, touching everyone she met with her heartening spirit.
Linda was an accomplished educator, having earned a degree in Early Childhood Education from Shasta College, Old Oregon Trail, Redding, CA in 2002. Her passion for teaching was evident in her tenure as a Pre-school teacher at the Shasta County Office of Education, where she faithfully served for over a decade. Her nurturing nature, coupled with her unique ability to instill an early love for learning, made her a beloved figure in the field.
Among the best lessons Linda shared was her teaching on compassion and selflessness. She upheld the belief of caring for everyone and would spare no effort to help those in need, demonstrating it not only in words but through her actions. Her legacy, a symbol of love, empathy, and a 'humungous heart,' echoes in the lives of those she touched. The mantra she lived by, 'peace on earth,' served as her guiding principle, making the world a little brighter wherever she went.
Linda is predeceased by her husband, John Cole, and sibling, Meral Berger. She leaves behind her children, Vanessa Massie and KC Massie, and Jessica Richards, as well as her grandchildren, Emily Massie, Dylan Nelson, Nick Richards, and LeeAnn Richards, who will remember her with immense love and profound respect. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her spirit of love and peace will continue to live on within us all.
