Linda's obituary

Linda Fay Childers, 72, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nellie Wolfe; her husband, Carl Danny Childers; her son, Timothy Childers; her grandchildren, T.J. Childers and Alexis Hounshell; her great-granddaughter, Rayne Hounshell; her brother, Gary Wolfe; and her stepfather, Hampton Weikle. Linda loved the Lord and was very devoted to her family. She enjoyed crocheting as well as painting in her spare time. She was a member of Harrowgate Worship Center in Chester, Va. Most of all, Linda loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Linda is survived by her daughters, Michelle Beach (Michael), Carolyn Henshaw (Curtis), and Bobbie Jo Reese (David); her sons, Carl Childers, Sr. (Melissa) and Thomas Reese (Jessica); sixteen grandchildren, John Childers, Jr. (Brittany), Zachary Ryan Childers (Kiara), Brandon Lee Childers, Ethan Michael Childers, Jacob Wade Henshaw, Briar Wade Henshaw, Harry Wade Henshaw (Kaitlin), Christopher Daniel Goad, Keith Floyd Goad, Joshua Dylan Goad (Melanie), Hunter Gage Hounshell (Alyssa), Victoria Renee Beach, Nicholas Cane Beach, Dayna Khrystyne Baker (Ryan), Samantha Ann Stebbing, and Melinda Danielle Childers; twenty-five great-grandchildren; twin sister, Brenda Rhoten (Larry - deceased); sisters, Cathy Hostettler (Steve), Becky Weikle (Ricky), Betty Burton (Ray), and Libby Gills (George - deceased); brother, Arnold Wolfe (Judy); devoted nephew, Doug Wilt, along with many other nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Melvin E. Childers (Sarah); sisters-in-law, Phyllis Beck (Alan - deceased) and Carolyn Haass (Bob); and caretaker whom she dearly loved, Savannah Collins. The family is also extremely grateful to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who showed so much love and support to their grandmother - Brooklyn Goad, Christopher Woodward, Floyd Goad, Victoria Beach, Keith Goad, and Hunter Hounshell, along with son-in-law, Michael Beach. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 6616 Boydton Plank Road. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at Virginia Veteran's Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia.
