Linda was the kindest person I ever knew. I will miss her.

When I think of Linda, I think of us as little kids. The summers and holidays that we used to spend together were filled with happiness, and lots of laughter. Every time I see the game Trouble, I think of Linda. We spent so many hours playing games and playing out in front of the Colgett house. I will miss my cousin Linda greatly. Rest in peace Linda and lay your troubles down.

The first time I met your mom was over Thanksgiving, and I always thought she was such a nice lady. We bonded over fried chicken, and cooking, We laughed and joked a lot that night. Although I only saw her at special events, it was always pleasant. She will be missed.

Linda and I have been sister-in-laws since 1983. Like all of the Chapman family, Linda was down to earth, easy to talk to, fun, and a really awesome human being. She had the deepest love for her family. She also had deep compassion for her pets as well. She was truly a kind, kind soul. Linda, I hope you and Jim are up there dancing like in the picture above. I hope you and all the family that have gone before you are all up there soaking in the love of family and living in peace together forever. You have left a beautiful legacy down here, in your daughter Taylor, who is just as kind a soul as you are. A testament to what a devoted mother you were. Rest in Peace. Until I see you again. Love, your sister-in-law forever, Dana Chapman

It really is true that you just don't know what you have until it's gone. My aunt Linda filled the room with laughter and great vibes, she gave me love and support that I didn't fully appreciate until it was gone and I'm sorry for that Linda. I didn't know that I was running out of time with you. Whenever I told a joke or a story Linda always laughed, made me feel really confident, important, and that I mattered. She cared what I had to say and she made me feel so welcome. I keep hearing her laugh in my head and I'm really gonna miss it. Linda, I know you're up there dancing with my dad, I love you guys.

I met Linda through my husband, Eric Smith, when they worked together. I then hired Linda to work with me at Biggam. We were best friends for a long time. We knew her mom and dad, brothers too. Went to her wedding. We have always kept in touch. It is profoundly sad to hear this news. I can't even imagine what you and your grandpa Clint are going through.

Linda, I never had the opportunity to meet you, but I did meet your daughter Taylor. Taylor is truly one of the nicest, warmest, most amazing and smart people I’ve ever met in my life. When I had problems in my life, she was there sympathize and to talk it through with me. When I didn’t have enough money for a computer and I was trying desperately to get my music career off the ground, her and our other friend were there to BUY me an iMac. Her and I don’t talk a ton anymore just because we’re older and in different locations/times in our lives, but I will always consider Taylor one of my most treasured friends. The person you’ve raised her to be will always blow me away. So even though I never got to meet you, I almost feel like I have through how much I love Taylor. Thank you so much for raising such an important person in my life, and may she continue to make you proud. Rest in peace Linda. ❤️🕊️
