Linda's obituary

Linda Lou Maestas went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April, 27th 2021 at age of 67.

Linda Lou Canady was born to Virgil Lee Canady and June Canady-Wittenback in Dallas, Texas on June 24th, 1953. As a child, her mother says she always willing to help, with a kind, patient and compassionate spirit. She loved to sing in school. She was in the Florence Jr. High School Choir. She loved to learn and she did until the day she went to be with her beloved Savior, Jesus Christ. She spent her childhood surrounded by the love of her Sisters, her Parents and her Grandma Canady. She spoke on many occasions of the time she accepted Christ at the Church of the Nazarene as a young girl, where she had attended with friends.

Linda Lou met her husband David Maestas and they were married on August 25th, 1972. She was blessed with three boys, James Lee Canady, Arsenio David Maestas, and Francisco Jacobo Maestas. Linda and David raised their children in Kleberg, Texas. After their children had grown, Linda and David resettled to Peeltown, Texas. Linda resided there until the day she went to be with Jesus.

Linda enjoyed her family which included 15 grandchildren she was blessed with during her time here on earth. Her greatest joy was to be a Mother and a Grandmother. She loved to Bake, and to Garden. She enjoyed her work at Texas Health Resources in the Finance department, where she retired from in 2015. More than anything else, Linda enjoyed serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ though her nurturing spirit and unconditional love.

Linda joins her Father, Virgil Lee Canady and her Grandmothers, Lula Canady, and Beulah Morrow in Heaven. Linda is survived by her Mother, Husband, three Sons and her 15 grandchildren.

"For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, ;who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself." Philippians 3:20-21
