Linda's obituary
Linda Caggiano
March 28, 1957 – January 11, 2026
Linda Caggiano, a cherished partner, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed peacefully on January 11, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on March 28, 1957, Linda lived a life defined by compassion, faith, and an enduring devotion to both her family and all of God’s creation.
An avid animal and creature lover, Linda possessed a gentle spirit and a heart attuned to the beauty of life in every form. Her faith in God was the foundation of her life, guiding her actions and strengthening her devotion to family, whom she loved fiercely and without condition.
Linda is survived by her devoted life partner, John Baratta, age 65, of Woburn, Massachusetts. Together, they shared a life filled with memories that can only be described as uniquely their own—rich, meaningful, and beyond measure—woven together by love, perseverance, and deep companionship. She is also survived by her loving mother-in-law, Inez Baratta of Woburn, Massachusetts, who was always a steadfast rock in her life, as well as three sisters-in-law: Judy and Stephen Tracy of Litchfield, New Hampshire; Scott and Joanne Van De Velde of Cumming, Georgia; and Julie Baratta of Woburn, Massachusetts.
She is also survived by her beloved children, Johnathan and Sandy, brother and sister, who are each blessed to carry their mother’s heart still beating within them, with Linda’s love continuing to guide and sustain them in every step forward. Johnathan always lovingly referred to Linda as “his favoritest mom in all the land,” a reflection of the deep bond they shared. Sandy was born of Linda’s first marriage to Air Force veteran Steve Bellehumeur, and Linda was a devoted and proud grandmother to Sandy’s children, Taylor, 25, and William, 21; she found profound joy in Taylor’s final journey toward earning a degree from Plymouth State, a milestone that filled her with pride and brought a radiant smile to her face.
She is lovingly survived by her siblings: her sister Toni and Frank Wilson, Dr. Richard Caggiano and Karen, Maria and Robert Johnson, Paul and Cindy Caggiano, and her baby sister Lisa Hammes, all of whom she deeply adored. Linda also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, each of whom she loved dearly and who loved and adored her in return.
Linda is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved mother, Antoinetta, while her father, Vincent Caggiano, continues to carry her memory and love forward.
Though our family has physically grown smaller, our spirits have grown stronger and more at peace. Through faith in God and the enduring memories of our beloved Linda, her presence remains alive among us—felt, cherished, and everlasting.
Linda Caggiano’s legacy is one of faith, love, gentleness, and devotion. She will be profoundly missed and forever held in our hearts.
