Linda's obituary
She was born to Dorothy (Ballard) Bouldin and veteran Fredrick Robert Bouldin on October 3, 1947 in Grand Rapids, MI.
She lived her younger years growing up in Grand Rapids Michigan. She then set her sights on Florida where she basked in beautiful sunshine and love for over 20 years. For the past 34 years she has enjoyed the small town life surrounded by her community and friends calling Dover, Tennessee home.
Linda had such a creative nature that would shine through in her love of painting. Through her years she was invested in her church volunteering her time in the children's ministry along with the Ruth Sunday school class, and going on missions trips.
She worked within various communities throughout her life. Her first job was at Herpolsheimer's department store in Grand Rapids, MI. She also held a few waitressing jobs in FL, where she could spread happiness and serve. Most recently, in Dover, TN, she took joy in her work as an invaluable extra hand and a plethora of smiles at her favorite salon, Shear Glory.
She was strong in her faith and had a heart for God which showed daily in her actions and words. Whether at church, in the grocery aisle, or sitting in a salon chair she greeted and treated all as family.
Her life is best described by the lives she touched:
"She ignited a spark in me right away with her exuberant, joyful, attitude. She's the most kindhearted, loving, strongest woman I've ever known. I will forever cherish all of the memories we shared. I feel extremely blessed and honored having her both as my aunt and a second mom. Ms. Linda's presence at the salon brought an uplifting positive energy surrounding everyone. Her happiness and loving arms will forever and always be remembered. She was a bright light that will continue to shine. She was a hoot and brought the sunshine. She loved so big. Linda made many lives happier with her smile alone. An uplifting sweet friend. A blessing to be around and would do anything for you. Linda was so sweet and always had a big warm hug and kiss on the cheek for everyone. Would call and have us hug ourselves as a hug from her. A beautiful sweet spirit. An amazing woman. Her smile made everyone light up. A true angel on earth. A kind soul who made an impact on the world. Linda was spunky and full of sass. She was a precious gift from God to all of us! Life of the party. Always made you feel loved and welcomed. Had sweet compliments for everyone. A beautiful soul who could get a smile or laugh out of anyone. She always brightened your day even if she wasn’t feeling the best. She gave her smiles away, but always had one. So fun and full of life. A spitfire and barrel of laughs. Literally has offered the shoes off her feet because they matched someone’s outfit, and has given the shirt off her back. No smile so beautiful, no laugh so infectious. An example for all of us to smile, laugh, and love one another. Her infinite love for cheetah print will always be remembered! Never met a stranger, or missed a chance to hug a child, or anyone for that fact. I picture her in Heaven going around smiling, renewing old friendships, and all the time listening to the Blackeyed Peas. Pinky fingers up my sweet friend. You're in the arms of Jesus and you served him well. An angel who now has her wings!”
Honoring Linda’s wishes we will not hold a funeral or viewing but instead will gather for a Celebration of Life at First Baptist Church on May 8, 2021 from 2-4 pm.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Jackson Madison General Hospital for their care and the wonderful compassion they showed towards Linda.
If you feel led to give in Linda's honor, donations can be made to First Baptist Church (toward children's ministry or Ruth's Sunday School class- the woman's group that assists people in need), or Good Samaritans.
In her memory she would wish for others to Smile more, Laugh more, and Live in Kindness.
Linda, we love you more than biscuits and gravy, Chiclets and jelly beans, chips and salsa, shrimp coctail, Texas caviar, bike races and awards, tax and rebates, any applicable discounts, warehouse fees and last but not least, any shipping and handling fees.
Love,
Your Sweet Pea 💜
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
