Linda was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. She loved the church and loved sharing the love and warmth of our savior, Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible
Our mother was a kind, caring and strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Linda's journey touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of strength and resilience. Her unwavering spirit in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all who knew her. Linda was talented and adventurous in many aspects of her life. Not a day went by where Linda didn't talk about how much her children and family meant to her. Her family was arguably her most important achievement in life. She loved spoiling her grandkids, and was always there to root them on in any activity they chose.
Family get-togethers for holidays and any occasion delighted her. Her other loves were the White Sox, Da Bears, Pepsi, a good Chicago style hotdog, and talking about politics and the lord. She loved country music and watching Hallmark and romantic comedies. She also had a love of Hawaii and lived there for a few years. She was always easy to talk to, never shied away from talking to strangers. She was a woman of strong faith and she instilled in us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right.
Linda will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and the positive impact she had on everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Linda is survived by her loving family and friends, who will forever hold dear her memory. May Linda rest in eternal peace, free from pain, and may her memory continue to bring comfort to those who mourn her passing. Please join us in remembering and celebrating Linda's life. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. As you continue to worship Jesus up there, dear Linda, your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
Services are still being organized. The Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Linda Born will be held in late September. Reach out to Edward for details.
With heartfelt condolences,
