Linda Lee Bert went to Heaven to be with the Lord on 04/15/2025. She did make sure her taxes were paid before she left. This was important for her to always take care of business and pay her bills.

She taught elementary school for over 30 years in the Coachelle Valley. She “loved” her students and they “loved” her back.

Linda graduated from the University of Colorado with a lifetime teaching credential. She kept the school tradition of always decorating her house for all “holidays” like she did for the kids at school.

She was always there for her friends when they needed her, and she was willing to lend a helping hand - whether it was to fix a sprinkler or just support them at every corner, appointment or whatever it be! She probably gave more of herself than she ever received back, but that was her way.

She was the type of lady that would allow you to go ahead in a grocery line if you had less or - even on the freeway - let someone in - if they seemed in a hurry. She would always say “You don’t know what someone else is going through or what kind of day they are having. Why honk?”

Every Christmas her friends and family would receive her homemade cookies - made with extra “love.”

After retirement she stayed busy all year with her computer business and her second favorite thing: playing tennis with her friends at the park three days a week. She had a great group of people from the park that meant a lot to her. In the summer she would go to the beach and play tennis, with friends there.

Her family lives mostly out of state, but would always support her long distance and she would visit with them at least once a year.

Her favorite tennis adventure was a special trip her friends invited her on - they went to see the Australian Open - she had a blast!

She leaves behind great friends, a sister, a brother and lots of nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.
