Linda's obituary

Linda Jean (Brown) Belcher, of Carver Massachusetts, passed away June 3, 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by family after a two-year long illness. Born May 6, 1960 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen Brown of Weymouth, MA where she spent her childhood making lifelong friends she called family.

Linda is survived by her loving husband David Belcher of 43 years and her two children, James Belcher and his wife Chelsey Belcher of Plymouth, MA and Jay Belcher and girlfriend Elysa Parrilla of Wareham, MA. Linda was a beloved grandmother known as “Emma” to her grandchildren Caroline, Charlotte, and Andrew Belcher. She is also survived by her siblings Helen (Brown) Jalkut of Whitman, MA and Bobby Brown and his wife Mary Brown of Whitman, MA as well as by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Linda was a graduate of Weymouth High School and continued her education at Aquinas College majoring in fashion merchandising. Soon after she married David, and together, they built a loving home and raised their two children in East Bridgewater, MA. Linda’s dream in life was to get married, own a home and start a family where her love for her family was boundless and her love will be forever missed. Linda was a lifelong reader who enjoyed a quiet afternoon with a good book. She took joy in her garden watching the new blooms each year and spending time with her friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Cranberry Hospice of Plymouth or Dana Farber Cancer Institute of Boston.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12th at 11:00 am at Union Congregational Church in East Bridgewater, MA
