Linda Elizabeth Barnette passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

She leaves behind  her son Jefferey Copeland, his wife Christine Royer, and their daughter Vivian Copeland; her daughter Julia Copeland, her husband Charles Moore, and their daughter Christabel Elizabeth Moore.

Linda will be forever remembered for her boundless compassion for animal rescue. Her passion for cat rescue efforts touched many lives—both human and feline—and her legacy lives on through every life she helped save.

Linda is now at peace, relaxing on a sunny beach with a margarita in hand, surrounded by all the beloved animals she cared for over the years.

Per Linda’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in her honor to Nashville’s Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue or to your local cat rescue organization.

Her fierce love for all creatures great and small will never be forgotten.
