Obituary for Linda Alice Walker
April 7, 1949 - March 22, 2025
Linda Alice Walker, 75, of Hiram, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Linda lived a life defined by love, generosity, and unwavering faith.
Born with a heart for nurturing others, Linda spent much of her life as a preschool teacher, where she lovingly shaped young minds and tenderly cared for each child she met. Her kindness extended far beyond the classroom—she gave of herself freely, always ready to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, or a comforting prayer. A woman of deep faith, she loved Jesus wholeheartedly, often filling her home with worship songs and words of encouragement for those around her.
Linda’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Clark Walker, and her beloved children: J.D. Walker (married to Liz Walker), Scott Walker, Timothy Walker, and Anna Kate Gill (married to Jon Gill). She cherished her grandchildren, Riley Jaquish (married to Mitch Jaquish), Grace Walker, Macland Gill, and Silas Gill, and found immense joy in watching them grow. She also leaves behind her loving brothers, Jackie Warnock (married to Carolyn Warnock) and Mike Warnock, who, like so many, were blessed by her warmth and generosity.
Those who knew Linda will forever remember her as a sweet, faith-filled woman whose kindness knew no bounds. Whether through her prayers, her giving spirit, or simply the way she loved others so deeply, she left a mark on every heart she touched.
A service to honor and celebrate Linda’s life will be held at Mars Hill Community Church located at 109 Mars Hill Road, Powder Springs, GA 30127. On April 1, 2025, Visitation will begin at 1 PM and a celebration of life service will begin at 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, in remembrance of Linda’s giving spirit.
Linda’s legacy of love, faith, and generosity will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
