Linda's obituary

Linda Lou Adler (nee Toczek), 85, of Monee, IL formerly of Tinley Park, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday June 13, 2023 at Silver Cross Hospital.

Linda was born on April 18, 1938 in Blue Island, IL to Frank and Linda Toczek. She married the love of her life Richard Adler on December 16, 1961. Together they raised three loving sons, Robbie, Randy and Richard.

Linda was very smart and often considered an overachiever. Her passion was accounting and she opened Hagan, Adler and Associates in Orland Park, IL in 1983. She ran the business successfully for 28 years and eventually selling in December of 2011. Linda was a quiet person who loved to listen and observe everything around her, even though she was the most knowledgeable one in the room. Her family would often come to her for her wisdom, since she was considered the family “smarty pants”.

Linda had a passion for football (especially her Bears), shopping and cooking (often leaning over other family members cooking to tell them what to do). She loved drag racing and you could always find her at the track supporting her children at the races no matter where it was at. Linda was considered “Mom” at the track to all the racers. She touched the lives of so many people and will truly be missed by all!

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Adler, parents Frank and Linda Toczek and her brother Frank Toczek.

Linda leaves behind to carry on her memory her devoted children Robbie, Randy (Alisa), and Richard; her cherished grandchildren Shelby (Jon), Randy Jr, Richie, Christina and William Adler; her sister Patty (Bob) Dahlberg; sister-in-law Diane Toczek; and many friends!

A visitation will be held at Maher Funeral Home 17101 71st Ave, Tinley Park, IL on Friday June 16, 2023 from 3 PM to 8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday June 17, 2023 at 9:30 AM at St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Catholic Church 17500 South 84th Avenue Tinley Park, IL with burial to follow at St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery 4600 West 135th Street, Crestwood, IL.

Funeral Arrangements entrusted to AquaGreen Dispositions 708-606-0211.
