I used to love to visit my cousins, Shirley, Pat and Junior and stay aware cracking jokes at bedtime. When Aunt Lillie came in and yelled at us to go to sleep, I'd fake like I was sleep and get them in trouble as they were laughing. Shame on them😊

Lillie loved to go to the house of God, listen to gospel music, watch the Chicago Cubs, crochet, knit and consume her favorite foods.
In response to "What did Lillie love to do?"
One of my first memories of my mother demonstrated her strong faith in the Lord and impacted how I learned how to trust in him to supply my needs. I was about 10 years old. We had just eaten breakfast and there was no more food in the house. I asked mom about getting more food and she said "God will provide." I did not know what she was talking about. I went to Douglas Park to play with my friends. We were playing in the bushes. My girlfriends both went through the bushes before me. When I went through there was a crisp five dollar bill on the ground. I grabbed that money and took it to mom. She said to me, "see, God does provide." I will forever remember that. She had no doubts. From that day on she was my example of someone who had an unfailing faith and trust in the Lord.
