Lillie Marie Popejoy, 82, of Parkville, Missouri passed away January 18, 2022.

Marie was born on June 14, 1939, to Truman and Viva Young, in Batavia, Arkansas.  She graduated from Neosho High School in 1957 and married Donald Leslie Popejoy Sr. on February 22,1958 in Neosho, MO.

Marie is survived by her two sons, Donald (Lana) Popejoy Jr. and Marty (Kim) Popejoy.  Her two grandchildren: Brooke Popejoy and Zachary Popejoy. Her siblings Edna Ferguson and Bill (Peach) Young.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband Donald Popejoy Sr, her parents and sisters, Betty Cargile, Kay Yetter, Mary Carden and brothers Leon and Richard Young.

Join the family in celebrating Marie’s life at a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, at Northland Christian Church, 6120 NE 48th Street, Kansas City, MO 64119.

There will be a short graveside service 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 29,2022 at Granby Memorial Cemetery, 1363 S Main Street, Granby, MO 64844.

Northland Christian Church will be open until Noon on Friday to receive flowers or call Funeral Home 816-587-8200 for delivery arrangements.

The family asks donations to be made in Marie’s memory to a Veteran’s Association of your choice.
