OBITUARY

Lillian Gertrude Frazier, 83, peacefully returned to her heavenly home on July 4, 2021. Lillian, daughter of the late Benjamin H. Frazier Sr. and Ernestine Scales Frazier was born January 21,1938 in Washington, DC. She graduated from Spingarn High School in 1955 and later went on to pursue an undergraduate degree at Howard University. In her early professional career, Lillian, affectionately known as “Lill” worked as Advertising Supervisor at the Washington Star, an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Crampton Auditorium, and later enjoyed a nearly 30-year career as the Residential Manager at Ft. Lincoln Senior Village Apartments until her retirement in 2004.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lillian was an anointed songstress, touching the lives of many with her sweet melodic voice. In adulthood, Lillian committed her life totally and completely to Jesus Christ. Anyone who knew her, knows that she relied on Christ in all things and professed him as her Lord and Savior with fervent conviction. She allowed Christ to live in her and through her. “Less of me, and more of you, Lord”, was her constant prayer. She was a powerful prayer warrior, spending time with God consistently, intimately, and daily.

Lillian was an active member of every church she attended. She sang in the choir, she spear-headed outreach ministries, and most recently served as the church treasurer. Lillian had a generous spirit, a kind heart and divine regality. She was truly loved by many. Her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Lenora Rood and Lisa Frazier; grandchildren, Lenisa O’Reggio, Alroy O’Reggio, Lynette O’Reggio, Aaron O’Reggio; great-grandchildren, Lenae Koroma, Damari Koroma and Kali O’Reggio; brothers, Alphonso Frazier, Leonard Frazier and Norman Frazier; sisters -in -law, Elizabeth Frazier and Lillian Frazier; best friends, Raymond “Ray” Smith and Sandra Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her brother, Benjamin Frazier Jr.; her parents, Benjamin Frazier Sr. and Ernestine Frazier.
