Background
On Sunday, February 15th, our family experienced a heartbreaking loss with the passing of Ligia Kirkpatrick. The pain of losing her so suddenly has left an emptiness in our hearts that words cannot fully express.
Above all, she was a devoted wife and a loving, selfless mother. Her 17-year-old daughter, Gabby, was her heart — she was so proud of the young woman she was becoming and looked forward to all the milestones still to come. Her 34-year-old son, Albelis, was one of her greatest blessings, and nothing brought her more joy than becoming “Mama” to her 4-year-old granddaughter, Alysen. Being “Mama” was a role she cherished deeply.
She loved her husband with a steady and faithful devotion, and together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Her family was her world, and the care, strength, and compassion she showed them every day are a reflection of the incredible woman she was.
In the days leading up to her passing, she faced unexpected medical challenges that required extensive care. Despite the best efforts of her medical team, the emotional toll on our family has been matched by the financial burden left behind. The medical bills from her treatment and the costs associated with planning her funeral have created expenses that our family was not fully prepared to manage.
As we navigate this difficult time, we are reaching out for support. Any funds raised will go directly toward paying her outstanding medical bills and covering funeral and memorial expenses. Our goal is to give her the dignified farewell she deserves while easing the financial strain on her husband and children.
