Liddie's obituary

You may have known her as Liddie. Or maybe you knew her as Lorene. I knew her as Mema. Liddie Lorene Price, was called home by our Lord on May 31 2024. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was born in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Edward and Mollie Pierce on November 21 1939. She grew up alongside her dear siblings Marvin, Eugene, Richard, Irene, and Pauline. She graduated from Capital Hill High School in Oklahoma City, a woman of timeless beauty and Vigor. She welcomed her first daughter, Jeanette, into the world at the age of 19 with her first young love Charles. Around age 24, she married her soul mate Donald Price and just 5 years later these two love birds brought their son Donald II into the world. She worked some as a medical assistant and even at Sears for a time but she found her happiness the most being at home being a home-maker investing in her family. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior young in life and I remember her always having an open Bible right in her living room. She attended church services at Southern Temple Baptist Church and South Lindsay Baptist Church for many years She loved to have a laugh and a good time. She really enjoyed travelling with her husband in their RV after he retired from OKC fire department and making surprise trips to visit us when we were little. Luckily, Papa did the driving because her driving was about as wild as her mouth could be at times. She spoke her mind and encouraged everyone of us to be more bold and colorful in our own lives. She was fiercly protective over her loves ones. Ill never forget her, she had the BEST hugs. She faced a lot of difficulties in her time here but she is the toughest lady Ive ever known. Maybe it was all those onions she ate like apples and her love for veggies. She was married to Donald 42 years before he was called home by God. She was preceeded in death also by her parents Mollie, and Edward; and her siblings Marvin, Eugene, Irene, and Pauline; and her fur baby Bella. She is survived by her brother Richard; daughter Jeanette; son Don; grandchildren Denver, Lindy, and Shelbie; great grandchildren Brianna, Beau, Paisley, Kailynn, Adilynn; and a host of nieces and nephews and will be missed by many friends and family. Until we meet again, "I love you and don't you ever ever forget it."
