We are saddened to announce the passing of Lewis Emmett Meade, who left us on February 9, 2026. Born in 1958, he was a beacon of light and love to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His joyful spirit touched many lives, making him an unforgettable figure in our community.

Lewis's personality was one of unparalleled warmth. The embodiment of happiness, he greeted everyone with a smile that could brighten even the cloudiest of days. He was the kind of person whose presence could make anyone feel at ease, and it was often said that to meet him was to be instantly welcomed into an embrace of kindness and understanding.

In his wise and gentle way, he taught us many invaluable lessons. Perhaps his most profound was the reminder not to take life so seriously. In times of crisis or hardship, he would always advise those around him to find joy and laughter wherever possible. Life, he would say, is too short to be anything but exuberantly lived.

Among his many accomplishments, lewis held his family as his greatest. No achievement or accolade could ever compare to the love and pride he felt for his family. Each member held a special place in his heart, and he made sure they knew it by being their unwavering support, their constant cheerleader, and their guiding star whenever they found themselves in the dark.

Lewis leaves behind a legacy of beautiful memories that will be treasured forever. His love and laughter have left an indelible mark on our hearts, transforming each interaction into a cherished keepsake. He may be gone from our lives, but his spirit will forever be a part of us.

Though his departure from this world feels too soon, we find comfort knowing that he is now at peace and finally home.  Lewis Meade will never be forgotten. His memory will continue to inspire us, bringing smiles to our faces and warmth to our hearts, just as he always did. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
