Lewis's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Lewis Edward Goebel on March 15, 2025. Born April 6, 1950, Lewis lived a fulfilling life marked by adventure, love, resilience, and boundless curiosity. He shone as a beacon of kindness and generosity, leaving lasting imprints on anyone he encountered.
Lew served as a Marine in the Viet Nam war. He achieved the rank of Lance corporal (2 months of service from achieving corporal), earned his rifle marksman medal, and many service medals. He served with the Second Batallion 4th Marines "The Magnificent Bastards", was an victim of agent orange exposure "Sprayed and Betrayed", and recieved a PUC "Presidential Unit Citation", served as a city council member in Omak Washington and spent his retirement years in a place he loved, Florida.
Lew is survived by his wife Karen, his sons Michael and Nick, his daughter Breanne, multiple grandchildren, a brother and two sisters. . There is comfort knowing his memory will be cherished and his life celebrated through the legacy he leaves behind in those who love him.
We mourn his loss and honor his life and memory, thankful for the time we had with Lew. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire us forever.
