Lettie Jean's obituary
Lettie Jean Fletcher, affectionately known to many as Gramis, passed away on December 17, 2024. Born on July 18, 1948 to the Late Edna Vera Mitchell and the Late Oscar Rayam Jr. (Stella). In her early years she was reared by her maternal grandparents the Late Adolphus and Lucy Mae Mitchell of Bellville, FL where she grew up with her aunts and uncles as the first grandchild of both the Mitchell and Rayam Families. She was fondly known as "Nuke Baby". In her early teens she relocated to St. Petersburg, FL with her mother and siblings and attended Sixteen Street Junior High. She wed the late Army Gwinn in 1963 and to that union were born three children and was widowed in 1974. In 1977 she met the love of her life, the Late Willie Fletcher Jr, affectionately known as "June" that she wed and raised their blended family together.
Lettie Jean was a self-made woman and entrepreneur. She was a residential and commercial cleaner for over 40 years prior to her retirement. She was most fond of her long-term clients and friends Gene and Sherry Oliver.
Lettie's absence will be deeply felt, particularly by her devoted daughters, Carol Williams (Devlin), Gabrielle Nycole Gordon (Emerald), and Rosiland Fletcher all of St. Petersburg, FL
