Leticia Bastidas, age 54 years of San Francisco, CA passed away on Tuesday October 15, 2019 after a difficult battle with Adrenal Cancer. She was born in Mexico on July 17, 1965 and is the daughter of Manuel Soberanes and the late Maria Rafaela Soberanes. Leticia graduated from Mission High School and attended Cañada College where she studied Human Resource Management. Leticia worked for the City and County of San Francisco for over 20 years in various roles, her last role was in Human Resources for San Francisco General Hospital.

Leticia had many passions but most of all she was an altruistic person. In her work life she thrived when she could support those who needed help navigating the complex bureaucracy at SFGH to receive the benefits they needed. In her personal life she generously opened up her home to family and friends during difficult times and to celebrate special occasions. Our beloved Lety, made it her responsibility to make sure that her circle always had a place where we could feel not only welcomed but loved.

Lety was a generous person who made friends easily with people from all walks of life because of her vivacious personality. She was considerate and had an innate gift for making everyone laugh and feel comfortable and appreciated. During the last few months in her various visits to the hospital, no matter how weak she was feeling, she took the time to write thank-you cards to the nurses complimenting their good work because she believed in sharing positive energy. She always expressed her gratitude and gave gifts with as much enthusiasm as when she received them. She was a great hostess who loved celebrating holidays especially Halloween and Christmas, because she was so playful and young at heart. Leticia will be missed by so many and most especially by her family, for her warmth, her bubbly personality and her spirited energy.

Leticia, is survived by her loving husband Orlando Bastidas, her father Manuel Soberanes, her sisters Elizabeth Soberanes, Araceli Fierro, her brothers Manuel Soberanes Jr., and Martin Soberanes; her nieces Naomi Fierro, Michelle Soberanes, Rebekah Soberanes, Rossana Ovando Bastidas, Jasmina Bastidas Escobar, Bianca Hill, Sade Bonilla, Dominique Bonilla, and her nephews Gonzalo Fierro, Carmelito Soberanes, Gabriel Bonilla, Eduardo Bastidas and Vincent Bastidas. She also leaves behind numerous other relatives and friends.
