Letecia's obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Letecia "Letty" Meyers, a beloved figure who touched the hearts of many. Born on May 30, 1954, Letty embraced every milestone with grace, until she left us on October 31, 2024. She was known for her infectious laughter, her kind heart, and her generous spirit.

Letecia leaves behind a legacy of warmth and love. She is survived by her devoted husband, John Meyers, her loving daughter, Christine Grote, her dutiful son-in-law, Michael Grote, and her cherished granddaughters, Josephine Jewel and Jacqueline Star. Her siblings, Antonieto Lanchinebre, Nelia Muzones, Rafael Lanchinebre, and Miraflor Yacapin, continue to carry the memories of their dear sister in their hearts. Letty was predeceased by her father, Rafael Lanchinebre Sr, mother, Benigna Lanchinebre, brother, Joel Lanchinebre, and mother-in-law, Velma Wells.

Born in Butuan City, Philippines, Letty moved to the United States upon marriage and resided in Long Beach, CA, then Las Vegas, NV. An educated and successful woman, she earned a bachelors degree in business and worked as a personal banker for the majority of her career until retirement. Financial institutions she worked at include Coast Federal Bank in Hollywood, CA and Citibank in Las Vegas, NV.

Letty had a zest for life that was reflected in her diverse interests, running the gamut from devouring The Twilight Saga books to enjoying the heartwarming tune of 'I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston. She relished in the simple pleasures of life, finding joy in savory lumpia, comforting chicken salad croissants, and classic cheeseburgers. Her favorite beverages were a hot cup of coffee, refreshing Coca-Cola, and soothing green tea with lemon and sugar.

Letty's pastimes included watching the tv crime series, Bones, and indulging in her favorite movies: Sabrina, The Godfather, and Maid in Manhattan. She took pleasure in immersing herself in the world of K-Dramas on Netflix, spoiling all her dogs, and unwinding at the Boulder Station Casino.

We are all richer for having known Letecia. In her honor, let's celebrate her life, cherishing the vibrancy she brought into our world. She will be missed every day, but her spirit, love, and kindness will live on in our hearts forever.
