Lester's obituary

Lester S. Smith, 65, of Worcester, MA passed away on January 5th, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. He was a wonderful son, brother, father, grandfather and friend who touched the lives of those around him. His laugh was infectious and when he smiled you couldn't help but smile back.

Lester was born on June 11, 1956 in Pool Land, St. John, Barbados. Lester graduated from North High School. Lester also attended Quinsigamond Community College for Business and Psychology. After attending college, Lester started his career as a tailor, working at some of the best shops in the city including his own business, A Stitch in Time. Lester showcased these talents all over the country, most recently in Baltimore, MD where he spent the last 15 years before recently returning to Worcester to be closer to his children.

His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He leaves behind his parents, Daphne Phillips and Lionel Smith, brothers, Philip Smith and Michael Smith, children, Rashad Minor, Jeffrey Johnson and his wife Tamara Johnson, Owen Minor, Daphne Smith, and Idaliana Medina. He also leaves behind many grandchildren and family members. Lester was predeceased by two sons, Hayden Jackson and Bernard Johnson.

Arrangements are still being made and will be updated as soon as they are complete.
