Lester J Christy ,March 7th 1949 - March 24th 2026

Lester J Christy was born in Bakersfield, CA on  March 7th 1949. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Bakersfield on March 24, 2026.

Lester was born to Carl and Rose Christy, the 8th of nine children. He was raised on the family farm and attended North High School.

After high school he enlisted in the Army. He was proud of the time he spent serving his country. After returning home from setving, he attended college at Fort Hays State University and received his degree in Animal Science. Lester was a career Salesman in the animal health industry. His career took his family to live in Denver, CO, Billings, MT, Boise, ID, Anaheim, CA and finally settling in Bakersfield in 1983. He loved his career and was the type of salesman that always had a good joke and could make friends easily. One of his nephews recently reminisced that he had a loving personality and a zest for life!

Lester  is survived by his loving wife of 15 years Amanda; Sisters Lorraine Cook and Bernice Unrein; Sons: Mike (Liz), Mark (Robin), Daughters: Brandy ; Grandchildren: Dylan , Devin , Grant (Natalie). He will be greatly missed by many friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at heart park at 2pm on April 25 2026. He will be celebrated with love and memories.
