Background
Leslie was a lover of animals, especially cats. Her beloved Clover & Noel briefly predeceased her, but she never stopped loving & looking for ways to give to kitties in need. Leslie continued to donate to various cat-related charitable organizations over recent years and in her final days, specifically asked that in lieu of flowers, you consider donating to the rescue that her daughter, Kristen, adopted Mika from, Charlie's Army.
Charlie's Army was established in 2019 following a plea for help: a young kitten had been abused and left paralyzed. Nonprofit Owner, Marie Gutshall, named him Charlie. Charlie ended up needing extensive surgery and she watched in awe as an army of people came together to raise the money needed to not only save his life but allow him to walk again. Since saving Charlie, she now has an Army that saves so many more, with a focus on rescuing special needs and at-risk animals. Contribute to Charlie's Army Animal Rescue
