I am sorry for your loss Judy, Carrie, Tammy and family. Les was always very nice to me and my family. I am just sorry that I only found out about his passing now. He always made me laugh and had something smart-ass to say that made me laugh. I will miss seeing him at Anchos he always seemed to be there when I went there..

Les and I were regular golf buddies around this time. We would often go out early on Saturday mornings and get a round in before it got too hot or the courses got too busy.
Les had recently spent over $200 on a custom made, top of the line driver for himself. He was extremely proud of it. Unfortunately he was struggling with hitting it as well as he had hoped. During this round I kept bugging him to let me try it, which he kept resisting. He kept telling me that the shaft of the club was geared towards his swing speed and because mine was faster, the club wouldn't work for me.
I kept bugging him. He finally gave in on the 10th hole.
The 10th hole at Jurupa Hills is about 360 yards mostly uphill, pretty straight and open fairway.
He cautioned me that I better swing easy because of how that club was again geared for his swing.
I took his advice, took an extremely smooth swing, and absolutely CRUSHED the ball about 280 yards up the hill, right in the middle, with HIS driver.
Anyone that knows me knows I'm a bit of a smart a$$, and of course this was an amazing opportunity to rub it in.
As I stood there, posing, admiring my drive I hear footsteps behind me coming towards me.
Here comes Les....literally stomping towards me.
He rips the driver from my hands, looks at me, and says
"Don't ever f*****g" touch it again!!!!"
Stomps back to the cart, puts it away, and won't speak to me for about 2 holes....the whole time maintaining a straight face like he's mad.
I laugh about this to this day.
Les was like a father to me, and I could fill this website up with stories about him.
You are very special to me my friend....and will be missed.
