Leslie Ann Kempe

February 11, 1950 – January 21, 2025

Leslie Ann Kempe, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on January 21, 2025. Born on February 11, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, Leslie lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends.

Leslie is survived by her sweet and devoted husband, Jerry Kempe, with whom she shared 37 wonderful years, having married on August 15, 1987. She is also survived by her beloved children: Erin Owens and wife Robin of Castle Rock, Colorado; Brandon Owens and Tam Tran of Austin, Texas; and Kelly Reed (Owens) and husband Chance of Round Rock, Texas. Leslie embraced her role as a stepmother and is lovingly remembered by her stepchildren: Eddie Kempe of Denver, Colorado, and Ziffany Goings (Kempe) of Mansfield, Texas.

She was a very proud grandmother “Awema” to her 14 cherished grandchildren: Nikki Goings, Conor Owens, Brian Kempe, Pyra Owens, Aevri Owens, Josh Kempe, Evan Owens, Abigail Owens, Ella Kempe, Gary Kempe, Ben Reed, Max Reed, Stella Reed, and Falon Tran. Her legacy lives on through the love and memories she shared with her family.

Leslie is also survived by her siblings: Michelle Nelson, Terri Wolbert, Mike Texier, and Grant Texier.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Glenn Dittmar and William “Billy” Dittmar; her mother, Yvonne; and her father, William Dittmar.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and her dedication to creating a home filled with love and laughter. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Liberty Hill Cemetery, located in Liberty Hill, Texas.

Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories of her laughter, wisdom, and love.
