Leslie's obituary

Leslie Ann (Parrish) Burch, age 50, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 11, 1968, in Grinnell, Iowa to William and Loretta Parrish. She was a 1987 graduate of Walled Lake Central High School and soon after she graduated from Southwest Oakland Vocational Education Center specializing in Cosmetology. On May 23, 2015, she married her best friend Myrle Burch, merging their two families into one. Leslie had an open heart and an open home. She always had an available ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, and she was a mom to many. She had a love of life that was contagious. She enjoyed skiing, sailing, and vacationing in Key West, Florida.

She is survived by her husband, Myrle; her daughter, Lyndsey (Joshua) Schaefer and son, James Sirbaugh from her first marriage to Shaun Sirbaugh; step-daughter, Ali Burch and step-son, Mackenzie Burch; granddaughters, Autumn and Isabelle; parents, William and Loretta Parrish; sister, Stephanie (Philip) Walker; niece, Danielle (Trevor) McCann; nephew, Joshua Chapin; and great-niece, Morgan McCann.

Please join the family for a celebration of Leslie’s life on Saturday, December 8 at Hess-Hathaway Park Community Center, 825 S. Williams Lake Road, Waterford, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to a breast cancer research charity, The Love Anchors Fund at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, in Leslie’s name.
