Mr. Leslie Robert Barger, 66, passed away on April 10, 2025, in Savannah, Georgi. Born on August 27, 1958, Casablanca, Morocco in Africa to Margaret and George Barger, Leslie grew up surrounded by a large and close-knit family. He faced life’s challenges with quiet strength and resilience, living a full life in spite of his adversities. Leslie worked as a taxi driver, a profession that allowed him to connect with people from all walks of life. Through the years, he became a familiar face to many in the community—someone who knew the streets of Savannah like the back of his hand and who offered not just transportation but conversation and kindness along the way. 

He is survived by his devoted wife, Maureen Barger; his daughter, Calynne Abigail Anderson; one brother, Roy Barger; and two sisters, Catherine and Victoria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and George Barger; and three brothers, Richard Barger and Morris Barger and Trooper. A funeral service was held in Savannah, Georgia. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
