Lesford's obituary
Lesford Howell (Doctor), 71, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2020 at University Hospital of Brooklyn in NYC after a prolonged illness. He was born in Jamaica, West Indies where he resided until 1999.
Lesford graduated from Mico University and was the Principal at Johns Hall School for 21 years. After earning a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of the West Indies, he migrated to the United States of America. He earned a Master of Science degree from Queens College and taught at PS 230X from where he retired in 2013. He enjoyed being an educator and was an avid reader who sought every opportunity to impart knowledge and improve the education system through his dedication to academics and the lives he touched.
After 43 years of marriage, Lesford is survived by his wife, Ceylem, children, Drew and Tricia; daughter-in-law, Priscilla; grandchildren, Devi and Aria; sisters Jessie and Jascinth; brothers Ewart and his wife Elfreda, David and his wife Zoribel, Leslie and his wife Avril, Leonard and Sister-in-law Shirley, beloved aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was a devout christian and family man who will be missed dearly by family and friends.
May his soul rest in peace and light perpetual shine upon him.
