Leroy's obituary

Leroy Peck, age 72 of Goose Creek, South Carolina, formerly of Bradford, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, South Carolina.

Leroy was born in Piqua, Ohio on June 25, 1946; he attended Bradford High School; and served as an Aviation Mechanic in the U.S. Navy from July 1963 to December 1988. He enjoyed golfing, Redskins football, Cincinnati Reds baseball, cooking, hunting, gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Leroy was preceded in death by his mother and father, Betty and Russel Peck, and his dog Samuel “Sam” P. Jackson. Leroy is survived by his wife of 28 years, Linda Peck; two daughters Shelly & Jeff Roark of New Paris, OH; Chrissy Newland of Goose Creek, SC; two sons, Leroy & Angela Peck II of Pensacola, FL; Cory Peck, Crystal Grimstead, and Alysia Festa of Norfolk, VA; grandchildren, Trey Billing, Camden Leonard, Travis, Dylan, Brandon Roark, Leroy Peck III, Abigail, Aliyah Peck, Amber, Jordan Newland, Lance Ball, Bryce Anders, Ceazar, Jahlyssa, Mireya Peck, Diamond Lee, and a great grandson Gabriel; one brother, Daniel & Robin Peck, New Carlisle, OH; two sisters Loretta Thomas & Becky Peck of New Baltimore, OH; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and his dog, Bruce.

At his request he will have Navy burial at sea departing Jacksonville, FL. Memorial services will be Sunday, September 16, 3-5 pm at American Legion Post 166, 116 Howe Hall Road, Goose Creek, SC 29445. Military Honor will begin at 4 pm.
