Leroy Betaudier was born on May 31, 1940, in Arima, Trinidad, to his mother Nolquas Petra Betaudier. He was raised in Trinidad, where he attended local schools and proudly graduated from Arima Boys R.C. School.

Leroy was known as a hardworking and ambitious man from an early age. At the age of 31, he made the courageous decision to leave Trinidad in 1971. In a pursuit of greater opportunities, he moved to Brooklyn, New York.

A selfless and devoted family man, Leroy was always willing to help those around him. Though he built his life in the United States, Trinidad always remained close to his heart. He returned often to spend time with family and to support them in any way he could.

Leroy worked various jobs throughout his life, with his most recent and long-standing employment at Triangle Aviation Services at John F. Kennedy International Airport, where he dedicated over 20 years of service.

In his free time, Leroy found joy in reconnecting with old friends and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He cherished these moments, creating lasting memories filled with love, laughter, wisdom, and guidance.

Leroy Betaudier will be remembered for his kindness, strong work ethic, and unwavering devotion to his family. He walked his life's journey with humility, love, and purpose. Though he has been called home to rest in God's eternal care, his spirit lives on through the lives he nurtured and the love he poured into others. We take comfort in knowing that he now rests in peace, reunited with his ancestors, and watches over his family until the day we meet again. His legacy is sealed in heaven and carried forward by those who loved him.

Great-grandchildren:

Jasiah Sharpe, Jahsir Sharpe, Kaylee Betaudier, Messiah Footman, Johan, Jovari, Malayah Hypolite, Hunter Wilson, Milani Sharpe, Juliana Nalyana and Aliana.
