Noni's obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Leonor "Noni" Curtis who peacefully passed away on March 18, 2026. Born on August 30, 1932, Noni lived a fulfilling life characterized by immense kindness and love toward all.
Noni is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Catherine Nakagawa and Carla Curtis; son, David Curtis; granddaughters Maia Nakagawa, Ivy Nakagawa, and Lily Lewis. Furthermore, she leaves behind her three brothers Ignacio, Francisco, and Daniel Martinez who will continue to honor her legacy. Noni was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Curtis, whom she married in 1965, and her parents Ignacio and Julia Martinez.
Noni will always be remembered for her kind and loving personality. The best lessons she imbued in her family and friends were the value of laughter over tears and the universal deserving nature of love. Among her greatest accomplishments, the unfathomable love and care with which she raised her three children, as well as her talent for feeding friends and family, stand out.
Noni's benevolent spirit lives on, leaving a legacy of kindness and generosity that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
