"Your Dad has Glioblastoma Stage IV"
"He has 6 months to live if even that"
Our father Leo has gained his wings last night. He peacefully passed away last night.
Leo had been having progressive neurological symptoms for a few months, but we figured it was due to a stroke he had in the year of 2020. Since then he has had several T.I.A 's and focal seizures that lasted from 6 - 10 minutes. Rushed to the hospital a couple of times just leaving us with more questions than answers. On 12/15/2022 my father suffered the most aggressive seizure yet. The rest feels like a blur almost like it didn't happen. What followed was a slew of physicians, specialist, nurses, diagnostic testing. And finally 2 months later the most horrible words that I have ever heard. "Your Dad has Glioblastoma Stage IV" . The long goodbye as I have heard been called. My family are in need of some assistance with burying our loved one. We knew this day was coming but we were not prepared for a couple of weeks of the time we had left with him. Both my parents were on SSI/Disability and there income was limited.
